  • 750 g - Mutton chops
  • 15 peppercorns (coarsely ground)
  • 1 big Lemon juice
  • 2 Onions (finely chopped)
  • 1.5 piece Ginger (crushed)
  • 5 Green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 2 Tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • handful Coriander leaves ( finely chopped)
  • 10 to 12 Mint leaves ( finely chopped)
  • 1.5 cups - water
  • 6 tbsp - oil
  • salt to taste
  • finely chopped Coriander leaves (to garnish)
  • How to Make Mutton Pepper Chops:

    1. Clean and wash the mutton chops.
    2. Marinate the mutton chops in coarsely ground peppercorns, lemon juice and salt. Keep aside for two hours.
    3. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed kadai. Add onions and fry till pink.
    4. Add the tomatoes and cook till they are soft.
    5. Add the mutton chops, salt, chopped coriander and mint leaves. Mix well.
    6. Saute on a low flame till oil separates. Add water.
    7. Cook covered with a lid having water on it. Cook on a low flame.
    8. Mix at regular intervals. Cook till the mutton is tender and the water dried.
    9. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
