Ingredients

  • 500 g - mutton cubes
  • For the Gravy:
  • 1/2 cup - oil
  • 2 - crushed onions
  • 2 - whole cloves (lavang)
  • 2 - whole cardamom (elaichi)
  • For the Mixture:
  • 1 cup - curd (whipped till smooth)
  • 1/2 tsp - saffron (kesar)
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1 tsp - garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 2 tbsp - s - almond powder
  • 1 tsp - kasoori methi
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder (haldi)

How to Make Mutton Shahi Korma

  • Pressure cook mutton cubes in 2 cups of water along with 2 pieces of bay leaves (tejpatta) and 1 tsp salt till tender.
  • Once cooked, coat with egg and crumbs deep fry till golden and keep aside.
  • Heat oil, fry the cloves, cardamoms and onions till golden.
  • Add the ingredients for mixture and cook.
  • When oil separates, add 1.5 cup water and bring to a boil.
  • Add the fried mutton. Simmer for 10 mins on low heat and serve.
