Ingredients

  • 1 cup - roasted gram dal powder
  • 2 cup - Sugar
  • 1 cup - Ghee
  • Water to make Sugar syrup

How to Make Mysore pa

  • Sieve the roasted gram dal powder. Mix it with ghee without any lumps.
  • Put sugar in a kadai and add water just enough to immerse the sugar.
  • Heat the kadai and make sugar syrup of one string consistency.
  • Immediately pour the gram-ghee mixture into the sugar syrup.
  • Within 5 mins, the mixture will boil and change from yellow to off-white.
  • At this stage, pour the mixture on a pre-greased plate.
  • After 2-3 mins, cut it into desired shapes.
