  • 1 cup - besan (kadalamaavu)
  • 1 cup - Ghee
  • 1 cup - Corn oil
  • 2 cups - Sugar
  • 1/2 cup - water (to make a syrup)
  • How to Make Mysore Paagu:

    1. In a bowl, mix the ghee and corn oil and add besan to it.
    2. Mix properly, breaking all the lumps.
    3. Now, make a syrup of sugar by adding 1/2 cup of water and cooking to a consistency of 1 strand.
    4. Add the besan mixture and keep stirring till you see a web-type consistency and it starts to leave the pan.
    5. Immediately transfer it to a greased plate, cut into squares and cool.
