Ingredients

  • 1 cup - besan (kadalamaavu)
  • 1 cup - ghee
  • 1 cup - corn oil
  • 2 cups - sugar
  • 1/2 cup - water (to make a syrup)

How to Make Mysore Paagu

  • In a bowl, mix the ghee and corn oil and add besan to it.
  • Mix properly, breaking all the lumps.
  • Now, make a syrup of sugar by adding 1/2 cup of water and cooking to a consistency of 1 strand.
  • Add the besan mixture and keep stirring till you see a web-type consistency and it starts to leave the pan.
  • Immediately transfer it to a greased plate, cut into squares and cool.
