  • Besan [gram flour] - 1 cup [heaped]
  • Sugar - 2 cups [level]
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Ghee [pure] - 1.5 cups [liquid form]
  • Refined oil - 1 cup
  • How to Make Mysore paak:

    1. Dissolve by heating sugar in 1/2 a cup of water.
    2. In a thick-bottom pan, heat ghee and oil till the spattering stops. Remove the pan from the fire, add besan and sugar syrup to the hot ghee.
    3. Cook this mixture on a high flame, stirring constantly.
    4. At first, the mixture will be slightly hard to stir, but keep at it till the ghee comes out.
    5. At this stage, you will notice that the quantity doubles and the mixture appears to be like a honey comb. Remove from fire.
    6. Spread it on a plate immediately. Cut this into desired shape and size when it is hot (after the mixture sets).
