Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Bambino sewai
  • 2 - green chillies, sliced small
  • 2 tsp -coriander leaves for garnishing (cut fine)
  • 1/2 - lemon
  • 1- tomato
  • 10 ml - oil for seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp - black gram dal
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard seeds

How to Make Namkeen Sewai

  • Put the sewai in a pan and keep stirring till it becomes light brown.
  • Scoop it out and place a plate.
  • Put the oil in the pan. When it is slightly heated, add mustard seeds, black gram dal and green chillies one after the other.
  • Now add chopped tomato and salt to taste with 1 cup water.
  • When water starts boiling, add the sewai to it and turn the flame to medium.
  • Cover and cook the sewai for 3-5 mins.
  • As soon as the water is over, take it out, add coriander leaves and lemon juice.
  • Do not overcook.
