Ingredients

  • 750 g - diced lamb
  • 3 - onions, finely chopped
  • 150 g - oil
  • 20 - Saffron strands
  • 500 g - spinach, finely chopped
  • 1 pinch - baking soda
  • 2 - eggs, beaten
  • 5 - Cloves
  • 1/2 " long - Cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 tsp - green Cardamom powder
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 inch long - Ginger piece, finely chopped
  • salt to taste

How to Make Nargisi Meat Curry

  • Heat the oil and fry the onions.
  • Then add the meat and fry for 10 mins.
  • Add water and cook till the meat is tender.
  • Add saffron, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, coriander powder, chilli powder and ginger.
  • Cook for 5 mins.
  • Heat oil in another pan.
  • Add the spinach and the baking soda.
  • Fry till it becomes tender.
  • Add the beaten eggs and salt to taste.
  • Cook till uniformly mixed.
  • Add the cooked meat on the spinach and cook for another 5 mins.
  • Garnish with sliced onion, green chilli and lemon.
  • Serve hot.
