How to Make Nuchchina

  • Soak the channa dal for an hour and a half. Drain all the water and grind coarsely into a dry paste.
  • Grind the rest of the ingredients except coriander into a dry paste.
  • Mix the above dal paste and coriander. Mix well.
  • Shape into elongated balls after holding a palmful of the dal paste.
  • Place them in idli trays and steam for 10 minutes. Nuchchina under is ready and tastes just yummy with white butter, kadi, coconut chutney, sauces, ketchups or just by itself.
