Ingredients

  • 3 cups - Bread flour or all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp - Active Dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup - Milk (lukewarm)
  • 3 - Egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup - Sugar + 1 tsp - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - Salt
  • 70 g - Butter
  • 1 - Egg yolk + 1 tsp - Milk (for brushing)
  • Nutella as per need

How to Make Nutella Swirl Brioche

  • Mix the yeast with a teaspoon of sugar and salt with the lukewarm milk.
  • Keep aside until the yeast turns foamy.
  • Meanwhile take the flour, egg yolks and sugar in a large bowl.
  • Add the foamy yeast and knead in to a soft dough.
  • Now add the butter and knead everything for 10 minutes.
  • Arrange the dough in a bowl covered with a towel.
  • Keep aside for at least for 2 hours until they double in volume.
  • Knead the dough again for a few minutes.
  • Divide the dough into two balls.
  • Roll the balls into two rectangles.
  • Gently spread the nutella generously over them.
  • Roll them tightly as a log and slice the logs in to 4 big slices.
  • Arrange them on a greased baking sheet lined over two loaf moulds.
  • Keep the moulds in a warm place for half an hour.
  • Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Mix the egg yolk with milk. Now brush the uncooked brioche generously with the mixture and bake them for 25-30 minutes until the crust turns golden brown.
  • Cool it completely on a wire rack. Enjoy!
