Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 1 tbsp powdered walnuts
  • 1 tbsp sugar, ground
  • a few saffron threads

How to Make Nutty Butters

  • Soak almonds overnight. Peel and grind to paste with minimal water. Or dry over a napkin for a few hours and dry grind it to a powder.
  • Bring butter to room temperature.
  • Crispin the saffron threads over a warm griddle. Crush.
  • Add almond, walnuts sugar and saffron.
  • Mix well till it is evenly blended.
  • Serve chilled with cookies, toasts or waffles.
