Ingredients

  • 1 - chicken, cut into 8 or 16 pieces
  • 1 tbsp - thick soya sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp - Chicken granules or Chicken cube
  • 1 tbsp - Corn flour
  • 3/4 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - Sugar
  • To grind into a paste and marinate:
  • 2 - Lemon grass
  • 10 -shallots
  • 3 sprigs - Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp - Chicken curry powder
  • 1.5 inch - Ginger
  • 5 to 6 Cloves - Garlic
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • How to Make Nyonya Fried Chicken:

    1. Take the ingredients to be ground and make a fine paste.
    2. Mix with the chicken pieces, adding the soya sauce, chicken granules, salt and sugar.
    3. Marinate the chicken for 4 hours.
    4. Add in the cornflour to the chicken, mix and deep fry to get crunchy chicken pieces.
