  • 1.25 cup - Toor dal
  • 1 tbsp - Peppercorns
  • 1/2 tsp - Asafoetida powder
  • 4 - Dry red chillies
  • Salt

How to Make Oats Paruppu Podi-Oats Lentils Spice Powder

  • Dry roast the rolled oats, toor dal, peppercorns, dry red chillies and asafoetida powder till the toor dal turns golden brown.
  • Let it cool completely.
  • Grind as a fine powder with enough salt.
  • Conserve it in an air-tight box.
  • Enjoy with rice.
