How to Make Okra Pachadi with desiccated coconut

  • Chop okra into small round pieces. Heat 2 tsp of oil and when hot, add the okra pieces. Saute and fry for 5 mins until cooked.
  • Drain on to a paper towel in a plate and set aside.
  • Grind in a blender the mustard seeds, coconut, chilly and garlic into a fine paste.
  • Add the fried okra, ground mixture, 2 cups of curd, salt to a bowl and mix well.
  • Add the oil, mustard seeds, red chilly and curry leaves for seasoning.
  • When this pops, add it onto the curd mixture.
  • Mix well, garnish with curry leaves and serve.
  • This can be served with rice/jeera rice/pulao etc.
  • Ideal for meat/chicken/fish dishes.
