Ingredients

  • 1 - medium-sized fowl, jointed and cut into medium-sized pieces (preferably country chicken)
  • 2 tbsp - vinegar
  • 3 tsp - chopped garlic
  • 3 - onions, sliced
  • 1 - tomato, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp - chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp - coriander powder
  • 2 small sticks - cinnamon
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp - oil

How to Make Old Time Fowl Curry

  • Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients for about an hour in a pan.
  • Place the pan on high heat and cook for about 3-4 mins, mixing well.
  • Lower the heat and add 2 glasses of water.
  • Mix well and simmer for 45 mins until the fowl is cooked and the gravy is thick.
