Ingredients

  • Big Onion - 1
  • Tomato - 1
  • Green Chillies - 2
  • Besan (Gram Flour) - 3 tsp
  • Buttermilk - 1/2 cup
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - as required

How to Make Onion- Tomato Bombay Chutney

  • Cut onion, tomato and green chillies finely. Mix besan and butter milk with salt and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seed and urad dal.
  • Fry onions till golden brown.
  • Add chopped tomato and green chillies and stir it for few minutes.
  • Pour the mixture to the fried items.
  • Cook for few mins and as it boils remove from fire.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with pooris and chapattis.
