Onion capsicum sabzi is a delicious sabzi made from onions and capsicum in Indian style. This vegetarian recipe is made in few easy steps and is served as a side dish.

  • 1 - big capsicum
  • 1 - small onion
  • 2 tbsp - roasted peanuts
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - garam masala
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • oil
  • salt to taste

How to Make Onion Capsicum Sabji

  • Grind the roasted peanuts and keep aside.
  • Slice capsicum and onion thinly.
  • Heat oil in pan and add the cumin seeds. Let it splutter.
  • Add capsicum and fry it well.
  • Then add the onions and fry it, too.
  • Add chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric, salt and sugar.
  • Mix well and let it cook.
  • Add roasted peanuts and let it cook for 5 mins.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves (optional).
  • It can be served with rotis and naans.
