How to Make Onion in peanut sauce

  • Heat oil and add mustard seeds, red chilli and curry leaves. Keep frying till the seeds splutter.
  • Add onions, chillies, garlic and ginger. Keep frying till the onion becomes pink and soft.
  • Add tomato and fry till it becomes mushy. Add haldi jeera powder, salt with 500ml water. Leave the water to boil.
  • Reduce heat, add groundnut powder and stir continuously to avoid lump formation. If the gravy is thick, you can add more water (hot water only) so it turns into sauce.
