Ingredients

  • 4 - Bread slices | 2 tsp - Urad dhal
  • 3 tbsp - Mint leaves
  • 1 - finely chopped Onion
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - Sambhar powder (optional)
  • Ghee - to toast

How to Make Onion Mint Sandwich

  • Heat 1 tsp of oil, add urad dhal.
  • Let it temper and add mint leaves and saute well till the leaves are crushed.
  • Add a few drops of water and grind to a fine paste. Keep it aside.
  • Drizzle oil, add onion, turmeric powder, chilli powder, sambhar powder and saute till the onions turn light brown.
  • Take 2 bread slices and apply the mint paste on both the slices.
  • Place the onion filling in between the slices and press.
  • Toast it with ghee.
  • Serve warm.
