Ingredients

  • Onion - 2, chopped
  • Dry red chillies - 4
  • Coconut powder - 1 tbps
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil
  • For seasoning:
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tbps
  • Curry leaves for garnishing

How to Make Onion, red chilli and coconut chutney

  • In a pan, heat oil and saute onion till pink.
  • Remove from pan and keep aside.
  • In the same pan, fry red chillies.
  • Grind onion, red chillies, coconut powder and salt, adding little water to make a paste.
  • Remove into a bowl.
  • In little oil, fry mustard seeds and curry leaves and add that to the chutney.
  • Serve with idli or dosas.
