Ingredients

  • 3 onions, cut into rings
  • 200 ml oil
  • For batter:
  • 1 cup ( 100 gms ) - gram flour ( besan - kadala maav )
  • 1 tsp - Rice flour
  • 50 ml + 1 tbsp - ( 65 ml - 75 ml ) water
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 pinches - Hing ( Asafoetida )
  • 1/2 tsp - finely chopped Coriander leaves ( optional )
  • 1/2 tsp - salt ( or to taste )
  • How to Make Onion Rings Bajji:

    1. Heat oil in a kadai.
    2. Reduce the heat to medium.
    3. Dip each onion ring into gram flour batter and fry till golden colour and crisp on both the sides ( 8 rings at time ).
    4. Serve hot with Tea - Coffee.
