Ingredients

  • sifted flour - 1 cup
  • baking powder - 1.5 tsp
  • salt - ½ tsp
  • Egg yolks - 2
  • sunflower or Corn oil - 2 tbsp
  • Orange juice - 1/3 cup
  • grated Orange rind - 1 tbsp
  • Egg whites - 4
  • Cream of tartar - ½ tsp
  • How to Make Orange Chiffon Cake:

    1. Sift flour sugar substitute, salt and Baking powder in a large bowl.
    2. Make a well in the center and add egg yolk, oil and orange juice and rind.
    3. Beat the mixture till smooth.
    4. Beat the egg whites with cream of tartar till stiff and gently fold into the batter.
    5. Pour the mixture into a chiffon cake mould.
    6. Bake in a mode oven (170C) till the cake is done. (about 50 minutes)
    7. Invert the cake on a wire rack and cool completely before turning out of the tin.
