Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup - Orange peels, chopped
  • 1 - Tomato
  • 1/4 cup - cooked tur dal
  • 1/4 cup - Tamarind juice
  • 3 tsp - rasam powder
  • 3 - Red Chillies
  • 1 tsp - cumin
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • 1/2 tsp - Ghee
  • 1/4 cup - coriander, finely chopped
  • How to Make Orange peel rasam:

    1. In a pan, heat ghee and fry the orange peels for about a minute. Keep it aside.
    2. In the same pan, add oil, splutter mustard.
    3. Then add cumin and red chilli.
    4. Cut the tomato and add it to the pan.
    5. Add a cup of water, cooked dal and tamarind juice.
    6. Now add rasam powder and salt. Mix well.
    7. Add the fried orange peels and boil well.
    8. Garnish with curry leaves and coriander.
    9. Serve hot with rice.
