Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup - Orange peels, chopped
  • 1 - Tomato
  • 1/4 cup - cooked tur dal
  • 1/4 cup - Tamarind juice
  • 3 tsp - rasam powder
  • 3 - Red Chillies
  • 1 tsp - cumin
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • 1/2 tsp - Ghee
  • 1/4 cup - coriander, finely chopped

How to Make Orange peel rasam

  • In a pan, heat ghee and fry the orange peels for about a minute. Keep it aside.
  • In the same pan, add oil, splutter mustard.
  • Then add cumin and red chilli.
  • Cut the tomato and add it to the pan.
  • Add a cup of water, cooked dal and tamarind juice.
  • Now add rasam powder and salt. Mix well.
  • Add the fried orange peels and boil well.
  • Garnish with curry leaves and coriander.
  • Serve hot with rice.
