Ingredients

  • 1 - oxtail, chopped into medium size pieces
  • 4 - carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 3 - onions, chopped
  • 2 litres - water
  • 2 tsp - pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp - Butter
  • 2 tsp - chopped Mint leaves
  • 2 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 green chilly

How to Make Oxtail Soup

  • Heat the butter in a suitable pan or pressure cooker.
  • Fry onions and carrots till they turn light brown.
  • Add tomatoes and saute for a few minutes till it gets pulpy.
  • Now add all the other ingredients and sufficient water.
  • Cook on high heat for some time, then simmer on low heat for about 2 hours till the soup gets thick and the oxtail is tender and soft.
  • Serve with fried bread.
