Ingredients

  • 1 - oxtail, chopped into medium size pieces
  • 4 - carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 3 - onions, chopped
  • 2 litres - water
  • 2 tsp - pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp - Butter
  • 2 tsp - chopped Mint leaves
  • 2 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 green chilly
  • How to Make Oxtail Soup:

    1. Heat the butter in a suitable pan or pressure cooker.
    2. Fry onions and carrots till they turn light brown.
    3. Add tomatoes and saute for a few minutes till it gets pulpy.
    4. Now add all the other ingredients and sufficient water.
    5. Cook on high heat for some time, then simmer on low heat for about 2 hours till the soup gets thick and the oxtail is tender and soft.
    6. Serve with fried bread.
