  • 1/2 cup - Rice ada
  • 2.5 cups - Milk
  • 1/2 cup - water
  • 1 tin - condensed Milk
  • 3 to 4 - elaichi (crush the seeds alone)

How to Make Palada

  • Wash rice ada in cold water. Boil some water, take it off the heat, add the rice ada to it and keep aside for 15 mins. Drain the water.
  • Boil 2.5 cups of milk and 1/2 cup water.
  • Add rice ada to the boiling milk.
  • Reduce the flame and cook till the colour of the milk starts to change - to light pink. (Also check that the ada is cooked well).
  • Now pour condensed milk into it and cook for another 5 mins.
  • If you want the palada to be sweeter, add some sugar.
  • Sprinkle over some powdered elaichi and immediately remove from heat. Delicious palada is ready.
