  • 1 lbs - Spinach
  • 1 packet - Tofu
  • 1 - onion, medium size
  • 1- tomato, medium size
  • Red Chilli powder, to taste
  • 1 pinch - Turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 pinch - Cumin seeds
  • 2 flakes - Garlic (optional)
  • Ginger - 1 small piece (optional)
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • How to Make Palak - Tofu curry:

    1. Wash the spinach thoroughly. Add garlic and ginger then let it boil for 5-8 mins or until its soft. Cool it and then grind to a fine paste along with the tomato.
    2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When its done, quickly add lengthwise chopped onions, fry them until it turns golden brown.
    3. Add little turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt. Then add the spinach-tomato paste.
    4. Add little water to give it a curry consistency. Let it cook for sometime.
    5. Cut tofu into small square pieces and finally add to the above prepared curry. Let it simmer for a while. Decorate it with coriander or mint leaves if needed.
