Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Cut Palak
  • 1 - Onion, cut finely
  • 1/4 cup - Tur Dal
  • 3 - Green chillies
  • 2 tbsps - Cut Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp- Grated Coconut
  • 1 tbsp - Tamarind juice.
  • 1 tbsp - Crushed garlic.
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • How to Make Palak and Dal:

    1. Pressure cook the dal, palak and the onion for 2 mins.
    2. Then grind together coriander leaves, coconut, chillies, and tamarind juice with 1/2 a cup of water.
    3. Add to the cooked mixture of dal and palak.
    4. Boil for 5 mins. Add salt.
    5. Then, in another pan, heat oil and add the crushed garlic, stir for a minute.
    6. Add the cooked mixture of palak and dal to it.
    7. Boil this curry adding 1/2 a cup of water for 5 mins.
