Ingredients

  • For Bread Koftas:
  • 6 - Bread slices (soaked and squeezed)
  • 2 - Potatoes
  • 1 - Onions (chopped)
  • 2 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp - Mint leaves (chopped)
  • For Spinach Curry:
  • 1small bunch Spinach leaves
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 1 - Tomato (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seed powder
  • 3/4 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • How to Make Palak Bread Kofta Curry:

    1. Heat oil, saute the chopped onions with salt and cook until onions turn translucent.
    2. In a bowl, mixie bread slices, potatoes, sauteed onions, chopped green chillies and chopped mint leaves.
    3. Meanwhile, heat the paniyaram pan with a few drops of oil.
    4. Shape the mixture into round balls and drop gently into the paniyaram pan. Cook till both sides turn golden brown. Set aside.
    5. Cook the cleaned and chopped spinach leaves with 1/2 cup water in microwave oven for 5 minutes on high.
    6. Meanwhile, heat oil and saute the onions and tomato pieces till well done. Cool and grind along with cooked spinach to form a smooth paste.
    7. Heat enough oil, splutter the cumin seeds, add the ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell leaves.
    8. Add the ground paste with enough water, coriander powder, cumin seed powder, red chilli powder and salt. Cook on simmer for a few minute.
    9. Then add the prepared bread koftas to the spinach gravy and cook again for a few minutes. Take off heat.
    10. Serve hot with rotis.
