Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Gram flour /Besan
  • 1/2 cup - Low fat Curd
  • 1/2 cup - Spinach puree
  • 1/2 tsp - Green chilli paste
  • 1/2 tsp - Sugar
  • 1 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp - Eno fruit salt
  • Seasoning: 1 tsp - Oil
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp - Sesame seeds
  • Garnish: Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • How to Make Palak Dhokla:

    1. Whisk all the ingredients together except seasoning and garnish and set aside for 1 hour.
    2. Pour this batter in a greased vessel and place into pressure cooker. Close the cooker and cook on high flame.
    3. Steam cook this batter for 20 minutes.
    4. Remove the lid and insert a toothpick to check if batter is cooked.
    5. Then, heat a pan with oil, fry the sesame seeds, mustard seeds and pour over the cooked dhoklas.
    6. Cut them into squares and serve along with chopped coriander leaves.
