  • How to Make Palak Parupu Vadai:

    1. Soak channa dal for 2 hours. Drain the water and grind it to a coarse paste.
    2. If you like it spicy, then add red/green chillies while grinding.
    3. To the semi-ground paste, add chopped onions, palak, chillies, ginger, saunf, asafoetida, curry leaves, cilantro and salt and mix it well into a dough.
    4. Grease hand with oil, make a small ball and then flatten it with your palm.
    5. You can even place the dough on a wax paper or a kitchen towel and flatten the same.
    6. Heat oil in a pan and fry it to golden brown on a medium flame.
    7. Serve hot vadas with tomato ketchup or pudina/coriander chutney.
