Ingredients

  • 250-300 g - palak/spinach
  • 1-2 - green chillies, finely chopped
  • 500 ml - yogurt
  • 3 cups - water
  • Black salt to taste ( If Black salt is not available use normal salt)
  • 1/2 tsp - black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Sugar

How to Make Palak Raita - Spinach Yogurt Dip

  • In a deep bottomed pan add water and bring it to boil.
  • Add spinach to it and blanch.
  • Blanching should be carried out only for 1-2 minutes.
  • Strain the water and chop the spinach into fine pieces.
  • In a bowl whisk yogurt till fluffy and creamy.
  • Add black salt, sugar, black pepper powder and mix well.
  • Add green chillies and spinach and mix well again.
  • Enjoy spinach yogurt dip with Indian flat bread or rice.
