Ingredients

  • For filling:
  • 1/2 cup - Paneer (grated)
  • 1/4 cup - Roasted peanuts
  • 1/2 tsp - Roasted cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Red chilli powder
  • Salt
  • 1/2 tsp - Kasuri methi leaves(crushed)
  • For Pakoras:
  • 4 - Wheat Bread slices
  • 1/2 cup - Chickpeas/Besan flour
  • 1/2 tsp - Red chilli powder
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp - Yogurt
  • Water
  • 3 tbsp - Oil

How to Make Pan Fried Peanut and Paneer Bread Pakoras

  • Take grated paneer, coarsely ground peanuts, cumin powder, chilli powder, salt and kasuri methi leaves in a bowl, mix everything well and keep aside.
  • Take the besan flour red chilli powder, salt, yogurt in a bowl and add water gradually to form a thick paste.
  • Cut the bread slices diagonally and spread prepared paneer-peanut filling and close it with another bread slice.
  • Meanwhile, heat enough oil in a tawa, dip the stuffed bread slices into the prepared paste and drop gently on to the hot tawa. Fry both sides until they turn golden brown.
  • Enjoy warm with ketchup or with the chutney of your choice.
