How to Make Paneer Butter Masala with Kasuri Methi

  • Heat butter in a pan and saute the paneer cubes until brown.
  • Remove and place them in kitchen towel.
  • Heat oil in a pan and saute the chopped onions for 1 min, then add the cashewnuts.
  • Now add the chopped tomatoes, saute it.
  • Cover and simmer until the tomatoes are well cooked.
  • Let it cool, grind until smooth and filter it.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of butter and oil, add the chopped onions and saute it.
  • Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute until brown.
  • Mix the filtered puree along with salt, chilli powder, coriander powder, sugar and garam masala powder stir well.
  • Cover and cook on a low flame for 15 mins.
  • Add the dried fenugreek leaves and mix well.
  • Add the paneer cubes. Remove and add the fresh cream and mix gently.
  • Serve hot with rotis.
