How to Make Paneer Dal Tadka

  • Mix all the dals.
  • Wash thoroughly and soak for 6 hours.
  • Add 1 chopped tomato, 2 chopped green chillies and chopped ginger to the soaked dals and pressure cook till done (approx 3 whistles).
  • Cool cooker, remove dal, and beat with hand beater.
  • For tadka:
  • Heat 5 tbsp of oil in a pan and splutter cumin seed and remaining 3 split green chillies.
  • Fry chopped onion till golden brown.
  • Add the other chopped tomato and fry.
  • Add kasuri methi and rest of the dry masala powders fry for a minute more.
  • Add the paneer cubes to the tadka and fry for a minute.
  • Add the dal and bring to boil.
  • Simmer for 5-7 mins.
