Ingredients

  • 200 g- Paneer/cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup - Chopped coriander
  • 1/4 cup - Chopped Parsley
  • 1/4 cup- Crushed Cashewnuts or Almonds
  • 25 g- Corn flour
  • 100 g- Flour
  • 1/4 cup - Spring onions - chopped
  • 1 Clove Garlic - flaked
  • 4-5 Green chillies - chopped
  • 100 g- Tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tsp- Pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Chilli sauce
  • 1/4 tsp- Vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp - Soya sauce
  • 1 tsp- Salt
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • 2- Onion Leeks for garnishing
  • Cooking oil
  • How to Make Paneer Manchurian:

    1. In a large bowl mix the paneer, parsley, nuts, flour, spring onions, garlic, pepper, salt, sugar and the green chillies
    2. Now add 1/3rd of the tomato, soya and chilli sauces and vinegar
    3. Blend well to form a thick mixture, add some water if required
    4. Make 1.5" sized balls of this mixture and deep fry till golden brown
    5. In a saucepan, add all the remaining sauces and vinegar with 2 cups of water and boil
    6. Add salt to taste, sugar and the corn flour
    7. Let it simmer
    8. Add the balls and simmer for 2 mins
    9. Garnish with onion leeks.
