Ingredients

  • Paneer - 75 gm, cut into very tiny pieces
  • Rice flour - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Chana (black gram) Dal - 1 cup
  • chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Onion - 1 cup, minced
  • Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup, minced
  • Curry leaves few, finely chopped
  • oil to fry
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Paneer Masala Vada:

    1. Soak dal in water for 2 hours.
    2. Drain and grind to a stiff coarse paste.
    3. Mix in rest of the ingredients except oil.
    4. Take lime sized balls of this mixture and flatten to a discs, one and a half cm thick.
    5. Deep-fry few at a time in moderately hot oil till golden brown.
    6. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
