Ingredients

  • 1 - small raw papaya, peeled, steamed and ground
  • 25 - Raisins
  • 4 tbsp - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1.5 tsp - panchphoran (a mixture of fenugreek, mustard anise, cumin seeds, shahjeera and fennel seeds)
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger juice
  • 2 tbsp - thick Tamarind juice
  • 1.5 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • chilli powder to taste
  • How to Make Papaya Chutney:

    1. Pound panchphoran coarsely.
    2. Heat 2 tbsps. mustard oil and fry the panchphoran nicely.
    3. Add the remaining ingredients, except the ginger juice.
    4. When thick remove from fire and mix in the ginger juice.
