  • 2 cups - Rice flour
  • 2 tsp - Channa dal (Senaga pappu)
  • 1 tsp - Black pepper (preferably half crushed)
  • Red Chilli powder, salt - To taste
  • A pinch of Asafoetida (Inguva)
  • Oil to fry
  • How to Make Pappu Chekkalu:

    1. Add salt, chilli powder, channa dal, asafoetida to rice flour. Add a little water to make the dough.
    2. Pressure cook the mix for 10-15 minutes without weight.
    3. After it cools, add pepper.
    4. Add a little water and oil to make the dough softer.
    5. Make small balls, press them with palm to make them as small-sized chapattis.
    6. Fry it in the oil till golden brown.
