Ingredients

  • Rice flour - 1 cup.
  • Water - 2 cups.
  • Coconut Milk - 1/4 cup.
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Pathiri:

    1. Boil water with salt in a thick bottom saucepan.
    2. Lower the flame and add rice flour slowly, stirring briskly to avoid lumps.
    3. Continue to cook till a soft lump of dough is formed.
    4. When the dough is cool, divide it into lime size balls.
    5. Roll the balls into thin chapatti-like pathiris.
    6. Cook both sides of the pathiri on a hot tawa.
    7. Smear the pathri with coconut milk.
    8. Serve hot with chicken stew or kurma.
