Ingredients

  • Rice flour - 1 cup.
  • Water - 2 cups.
  • Coconut Milk - 1/4 cup.
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Pathiri

  • Boil water with salt in a thick bottom saucepan.
  • Lower the flame and add rice flour slowly, stirring briskly to avoid lumps.
  • Continue to cook till a soft lump of dough is formed.
  • When the dough is cool, divide it into lime size balls.
  • Roll the balls into thin chapatti-like pathiris.
  • Cook both sides of the pathiri on a hot tawa.
  • Smear the pathri with coconut milk.
  • Serve hot with chicken stew or kurma.
