  • 8 potatoes, boiled, peeled
  • 1 cup - peas, cooked
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 1/4 cup - breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp - ginger, shredded
  • 2 green chillies, minced
  • 1 cup - cheese, shredded
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup - coriander leaves, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Pea pie

  • Rub oil on the inside of a pie dish and cover with crumbs.
  • Knead potatoes into a dough with a little oil and salt.
  • Add half of ginger, chillies, cheese, coriander leaves and pepper.
  • Divide into 2 balls.
  • Roll out one ball and cover the bottom of the pie dish.
  • Mix peas with remaining ingredients leaving a little cheese and mix with beaten egg.
  • Put into the potato case.
  • Cover with remaining potato mixture.
  • Brush with egg and top with cheese.
  • Bake in a medium oven till done. Slice and serve warm.
