Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp - all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup - Sugar
  • 1 can - sliced Peaches
  • 2 tbsp - butter/margarine
  • 2 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp - Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp - grated Lemon peel
  • 1/2 tsp - Almond essence
  • a pinch - salt
  • 9 inch - pastry shell

How to Make Peach Pie

  • Combine sugar, flour, nutmeg and salt.
  • Add 1.5 cups of syrup from the peaches. Cook until the mixture thickens, stirring continuously.
  • Add butter, grated lemon peel, lemon juice, almond essence and the peaches.
  • Line the pie plate with 9 inch pastry shell. Pour the mixture into it.
  • Moisten edges and top with lattice crust.
  • Flute the edges and bake in a hot oven 180 degree C for 45 minutes.
