Ingredients

  • 250 g - White bread flour
  • 40 g - Brown sugar
  • 25 g - Butter
  • 100 ml - Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 tsp - Salt
  • 1 tsp - Dried Yeast
  • 4 - Peaches, stoned and halved
  • For the topping:
  • 75 g - Plain flour
  • 40 g - Ground Almonds
  • 50 g - Butter, softened
  • 40 g - Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp - Ground cinnamon.

How to Make Peach Streuselkuchen

  • Combine flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
  • Mix together the egg, milk and melted butter.
  • Add the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and knead into a smooth dough.
  • Cover the dough and allow it to rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  • Grease a 25 cm spring form cake tin.
  • Take the dough, knead and roll it into a circle to fit the tin.
  • Slice the peaches and arrange it on top of the dough.
  • For the crumble topping mix all the ingredients together to make it crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the topping on the peach slices.
  • Cover the dough and allow it to rise for another 30 mins.
  • Meanwhile, Preheat the oven to 190 degree Celsius.
  • Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Leave it to cool for 5 mins, then turn it on a wire rack to cool.
