Ingredients

  • 250 g - White bread flour
  • 40 g - Brown sugar
  • 25 g - Butter
  • 100 ml - Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 tsp - Salt
  • 1 tsp - Dried Yeast
  • 4 - Peaches, stoned and halved
  • For the topping:
  • 75 g - Plain flour
  • 40 g - Ground Almonds
  • 50 g - Butter, softened
  • 40 g - Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp - Ground cinnamon.
  • How to Make Peach Streuselkuchen:

    1. Combine flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
    2. Mix together the egg, milk and melted butter.
    3. Add the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and knead into a smooth dough.
    4. Cover the dough and allow it to rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
    5. Grease a 25 cm spring form cake tin.
    6. Take the dough, knead and roll it into a circle to fit the tin.
    7. Slice the peaches and arrange it on top of the dough.
    8. For the crumble topping mix all the ingredients together to make it crumbly.
    9. Sprinkle the topping on the peach slices.
    10. Cover the dough and allow it to rise for another 30 mins.
    11. Meanwhile, Preheat the oven to 190 degree Celsius.
    12. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
    13. Leave it to cool for 5 mins, then turn it on a wire rack to cool.
