Ingredients

  • 1 cup - green peas.
  • 3 cups - water or stock.
  • 1 cup - lettuce, finely shredded.
  • 1 cup - milk.
  • 1/2 cup - cream.
  • 1/2 cup - onion, chopped.
  • 1/2 cup - celery, chopped.
  • 2 tbsp - butter.
  • 1 tsp - garlic, chopped.
  • salt and pepper to taste.
  • How to Make Peas and Lettuce Soup:

    1. Heat butter.
    2. Saute 1/2 garlic, onion and celery till softened.
    3. Add stock and peas.
    4. Cook till peas are soft.
    5. Cool and blend till smooth.
    6. Add salt and pepper to taste.
    7. Add milk, cream and lettuce.
    8. Heat thoroughly and serve.
