Ingredients

  • 1 cup - green peas.
  • 3 cups - water or stock.
  • 1 cup - lettuce, finely shredded.
  • 1 cup - milk.
  • 1/2 cup - cream.
  • 1/2 cup - onion, chopped.
  • 1/2 cup - celery, chopped.
  • 2 tbsp - butter.
  • 1 tsp - garlic, chopped.
  • salt and pepper to taste.

How to Make Peas and Lettuce Soup

  • Heat butter.
  • Saute 1/2 garlic, onion and celery till softened.
  • Add stock and peas.
  • Cook till peas are soft.
  • Cool and blend till smooth.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add milk, cream and lettuce.
  • Heat thoroughly and serve.
