Ingredients

  • 2 - Potatoes (cut and cooked)
  • 1 cup - peas (fresh)
  • 1 cup - onion, finely chopped
  • 2 - Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 10 Cloves - Garlic
  • 3 - Green chillies
  • 1/4 cup - coconut, grated
  • 1 cup - Coconut Milk
  • 2 - Bay Leaves
  • 1 tsp - fennel
  • 1 tsp - Saunf
  • 2 sticks - Cinnamon
  • 2 - Cardamom
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 3 tsp - oil
  • 1 cup - water
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coriander - for garnish
  • How to Make Peas and Potato in Coconut Milk Gravy:

    1. Heat 3 tsp of oil in a pan, add bay leaf, saunf, cardamom, and cinnamon sticks. Fry for a minute.
    2. Now, add onion and garlic. Fry well till both turns golden brown.
    3. Add tomato and fry for a minute.
    4. Add peas, 1 cup water and salt.
    5. Let it boil till the peas are cooked.
    6. Now, add cooked potatoes and mix well.
    7. Grind 1/4 cup coconut with green chillies and add it to the contents in the pan.
    8. Mix well and cook on medium heat for another 10 minutes.
    9. Switch off the stove, wait for few minutes and then add the coconut milk.
    10. Mix thoroughly.
    11. Garnish with coriander.
    12. Serve hot with paratha or rice.
