How to Make Peas Pulao

  • Pick, wash and soak the rice for twenty minutes.
  • Finely slice the onions lengthwise. Heat oil.
  • Add cumin seeds, cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon and bay leaves.
  • Fry for a second and add the sliced onions.
  • Fry the onions on a low flame till they are golden brown in colour.
  • Add red chilli powder and fry for a couple of seconds.
  • Add the green peas and saut1.5 for a minute.
  • Add rice, water, and salt to taste. Mix well. Give it a boil.
  • After the first boil, simmer the gas and cook stirring the rice once or twice while being cooked.
  • Cook till the rice is done.
  • Serve with any raita.
