  • 2 cups-semolina.
  • 1 cup- curd.
  • salt.
  • cooking soda.
  • 2 tsps -coconut.
  • 1 -grated carrot.
  • 25 grams- peas (frozen is also fine).
  • cashew nuts.
  • Cilantro leaves.
  • 1 tsp -mustard seeds.
  • 1 tsp -urad dal.
  • 1 tsp -channa dal.
  • How to Make Peas Rava Idli:

    1. Fry semolina a little until little warm, mix it with the curd and a little bit of water.
    2. Add grated carrot, coconut, peas and about 2 green chillies slit.
    3. Add salt and cooking soda and keep this mixture for about an hour or so.
    4. Before steaming, add little bit of tadka.
    5. For the tadka add mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal and cashews.
    6. Put the tadka to the mixture, mix it well. Steam the idlis in a idli plate for about 18 mins and serve hot with chutney or tomato ketchup.
