Ingredients

  • 250 gms - Paneer/Cottage Cheese, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 2 - Bell peppers, cubed
  • 4 sticks - Spring onions, chopped
  • 2 - Green chillies, sliced
  • 1 tsp - Peppercorns / Pepper powder
  • 1 tsp - Ginger, finely chopped
  • 4 - Garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tsp - Corn starch/ Corn flour
  • 3 tsp - Oil
  • 1 - Tomato, diced
  • 1 - Onion, sliced
  • Salt as per taste
  • Tomato sauce
  • Soy sauce

How to Make Pepper and Garlic Cottage Cheese

  • Add a pinch of salt to the corn flour and toss the paneer cubes in it.
  • Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan, fry the paneer until it is golden brown on all sides. Transfer to another bowl.
  • In the same pan add 1 more tsp of oil and fry the chillies and onion.
  • Add garlic and ginger, fry until soft.
  • Add bell peppers, fry for 1 minute, and add tomatoes and salt.
  • Fry for another minute and finally add the paneer cubes.
  • Add all the sauces and saute for some more time.
  • Make a solution with 1 tsp corn flour and 90ml water.
  • Add this to the paneer and let it thicken. Turn off the heat.
  • Finally add freshly crushed peppercorns or pepper powder.
  • Garnish with the spring onions.
  • Serve hot with steamed rice.
