  • 1/2 cup - red kidney beans
  • Cardamom powder - a pinch
  • 2 tsp - grated coconut
  • 1/4 cup - grated jaggery
  • 2 tsp - ghee

How to Make Perum Payiru Sweet Sundal

  • Dry fry the red kidney beans in a pan till its raw smell goes.
  • Wash and pressure cook.
  • Heat a pan and add grated jaggery and a little water.
  • When the jaggery dissolves, add the cooked red kidney beans and mix it well till the mixture does not stick to the pan
  • Add ghee, cardamom powder and grated coconut and mix it well.
