  • 2 - Raw Mangoes.
  • 1 cup - Red Chilli Powder.
  • 1 cup - Moong dal powder.
  • 1/2 cup - Gingili oil.
  • 1/2 cup - Salt.
  • If you want to have more pickle you can increase the quantity of the items.
  • How to Make Pesara Avakai:

    1. Clean the mangoes with a dry cloth. Cut them into small pieces.
    2. Add moong dal powder and red chilli powder in the same quantities. (1:1 ratio).
    3. To that add salt in exactly half the quantity of moong dal powder. (1:1/2 ratio). Mix this preparation with gingili oil.
    4. Keep this avakai in a jar away from water and moisture. Use the next day.
