Ingredients

  • 1/4 of a medium size - pineapple, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 50 ml - water
  • 1 - medium size - ripe banana, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 50 ml - water
  • 4 tbsp - thick Curd
  • 2 tsp - Sugar
  • For Coconut paste:
  • 50 g - grated Coconut
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp - water
  • For seasoning:
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 2 - Dried red chillies
  • 4 strands - Curry leaves
  • How to Make Pineapple Madhura Pachadi:

    1. Separately boil pineapple and banana cubes in 1/4 cup water on a low heat until tender.
    2. In a bowl, mash the boiled ripe bananas and pineapple separately, and then add them together.
    3. Add 4 tbsps thick curd and stir continuously for 2 minutes until well blended.
    4. Add coconut paste and sugar and mix gently.
    5. For seasoning:
    6. Heat oil and splutter add mustard seeds, then add cumin seeds, broken dried red chillies and curry leaves.
    7. Stir well on a low heat for 2 - 3 minutes and pour the seasoning over pineapple-banana coconut mix.
