Pineapple Pradhaman is a delicious dessert from Kerala, specially prepared during traditional festivals like Onam and Vishu. It is a mouth-watering payasam/kheer made with ready-made rice ada and juicy pineapple pieces. 

The rice ada and pineapple chunks are slow cooked in milk along with sugar and cardamom. 

Garnish it with fried cashew nuts and relish it right away!

  • Rice Ada-1/4 cup
  • Water-2 cups
  • Pineapple chopped-1/4 cup
  • Sugar-1 tbsp
  • Milk-1/2 litre
  • Cardamom Powder-1/2 tsp
  • Cashews-2 tsp
  • Ghee-1 tsp
  • How to Make Pineapple Pradhaman :

    1. Soak rice ada in water for half an hour. Then, cook it in water till soft.
    2. Strain and set aside for later use. Boil milk, add sugar and cardamom powder.
    3. Add pineapple pieces and cooked ada. Once the pineapple is just soft, switch off the stove.
    4. In a pan, add cashews and fry in ghee till golden brown. Add it to the pradhaman (ada mixture). Serve hot or cold as you wish.
